Answer & solution

Correct answer: 20

  • 20

  • B

    5

  • C

    30

  • D

    35

Solution

The total number of the characters = (20 × 55 × 65).

Let the number of pages in the new format be n.
Thus, the total number of the characters = (65 × 70 × n).

Since the total number of the characters remains same,
⇒ 20 × 55 × 65 = 65 × 70 × n
⇒ n ≈ 16.

Hence, the required percentage =20-1620× 100 = 20%.

Hence, option (a).
