What will be the total cost of creating a 1- foot border of tiles along the inside edges of a room?
I. The room is 48 feet in length and 50 fet in breadth.
II. Every tile costs Rs. 10.

Solution

From the statement I, we can find out the area that needs to be bordered. And from the statement II, we can find out the cost of each tile. But to find the total cost, we require the total number of tiles and to find this we require the dimension of each tile.
