Answer & solution

  • 1 : 3 : 1

  • B

    2 : 1 : 3

  • C

    3 : 2 : 1

  • D

    1 : 2 : 3

Solution

If the diameters and the heights of a cone and a cylinder are same, then the volume of cone is always 1/3rd the volume of the cylinder.
So the ratio of the volume of cone to the volume of cylinder = 1 : 3.
The only answer choice that supports this is (a).
