I. F and G
II. E and H
III. D

Answer & solution

  • A

    I only

  • B

    II only

  • C

    III only

  • Either I and III or II and III, but not both.

Solution

A causes B or C, but not both.

In either case, D occurs.

F can occur only if B occurs, while E can occur only if C occurs. Since only one of B and C can occur, hence only one of F and E can occur.

Hence, option (d).
