For statement A:

Required proportion for females = 4819236= 0.25

Required proportion for males = 17161205= 0.28

∴ Statement A is false.

For statement B:

Succes rate for males = 171684× 100 = 25%

Succes rate for females = 48138×100 = 34.78%

∴ Statement B is also false.
