Among the employees who were engaged in complex and medium operations, the number of employees whose average earnings per day in complex operations is more than their average earnings per day in medium operations is:

Answer & solution

  • A

    2

  • B

    3

  • C

    5

  • 7

Solution

There are 10 employees who are engaged in both complex and medium operations.

For employee 2001148:

The amount earned in Medium operations = 513.26 − 51.53 − 3 = 458.73

51.533.33<458.731.67

For employee 2001151:

The amount earned in Medium operations = 282.81 − 171.71 − 79.1 = 32

171.715.5>324

For employee 2001155:

The amount earned in Medium operations = 597.94 − 497.47 − 100.47 = 0

Hence, the average amount earned per day in Medium operations = 0/4.67 = 0

Hence, the average amount earned per day in Complex operations is more.

For employee 2001159:

594.439.67>159.6413.33

For employee 2001162:

472.511.29>109.739.71

For employee 2001165:

402.255.27>735.7212.07

For employee 2001169:

288.488.38>6.14.25

For employee 2001170:

812.110>117.468.5

For employee 2001177:

46.562<726.1919

For employee 2001180:

116.45<1262.7919

∴ There are 7 employees for whom per day earnings in complex operations is more than per day earnings in medium operations.

Hence, option (d).
